Piccola biografia di Cher :

è una cantautrice, attrice, produttrice discografica e conduttrice televisiva statunitense;
Cheryl Sarkisian nasce a El Centro in California, il 20 maggio 1946.[4] Suo padre, John Sarkisian (1926-1985), era un rifugiato armeno che lavorava come camionista, mentre sua madre Jakie Jean Crouch (in arte Georgia Holt), (1926-2022), era un'aspirante attrice e modella di origini irlandesi, francesi e inglesi.

Nel 1962 Cher conosce il cantante Sonny Bono. La coppia si sposa nel 1964 ed ha una figlia, nata il 4 marzo 1969 con il nome di Chastity Sun Bono;
Nel 1975 Cher sposa Gregg Allman e il 10 luglio 1976 nasce il figlio Elijah Blue Allman.

Con oltre sessanta anni di carriera e una voce dal timbro particolare e subito riconoscibile;

Durante la sua carriera ha ricevuto due candidature al Premio Oscar: come migliore attrice non protagonista per Silkwood (1983) e come migliore attrice protagonista per Stregata dalla luna (1987)..
